They played the notes. I wrote ‘em down. You can read ‘em… and perhaps play them too.

If you check the drop down menu for ‘Transcriptions’ at the top, you can access scores that have

1. Only the Tab (Naughty)

2. Only the Notation (commendable)

3. Notation and Tab (The best of both worlds)

I decided to post the charts I was using for Guitar Idol 2009. I didn’t read them all exactly – some were very precise, some were just as a form guide or chord chart. But it gives you an idea of the kind of thing that needs to be done in order to prep a whole bunch of complicated tunes in a tight time slot. You can download the charts by clicking here.
